Weyrlings do generally salute all riders who outrank them. You do not have to, however, salute every rider by name every time they come into a room, especially if it would interrupt roleplaying. A general 'W'ling salutes the riders in the room' as you enter is usually sufficient.

Since a Weyr has a very distinct hierarchy, it might seem like you're saluting every rider who shows up. You don't have to. If a rider or wingleader asks you not to salute them, you don't have to. However, the Weyrleader and Sr Weyrwoman always get saluted. It's less so important with the Weyrsecond and Jr. Weyrwomen, but if you're ever unsure, salute them.
